Back home after having worked in Paris, Etienne Boffet creates SEEB (Société Etablissements Etienne Boffet).
As a trained mechanic, and aware of the industrial local needs, he starts his business in cooperation with a few partners.
André and Pierre, his sons, took in charge the company, which became a limited company with a share capital of 30 000€.
The company rapidly grown, mainly in the field of public works, with strong local partners: Furukawa, Potain, ARCT.
With the arrival of the third generation, Jean-Claude LAJUGIE was named President. Clientele changed, SEEB began to produce parts with higher value added.
First complete units are realized and ISO 9001 certification is obtained. Through the takeover of LBL BRENTA CD, the SEEB GROUP, a finance holding, is being created. SEEB became SEEB INDUSTRIE.
To meet the increasing demand, the SEEB GROUP develops its specialized teams in order to install machines all over the world.
ATAMEC BSM INGENIERIE (ABI) joined the group. This new takeover allow to extend the existing expertise to cover all customers’ demands from study to commissioning. The fourth generation integrates the governing structure the following year.
The SEEB GROUP begins its internationalization with the creation of SEEB ENGINEERING INDIA, providing a privileged access to the Indian emerging market.
CPIT, Robotics-Vision engineering office from GAMIC Group joined ABI in order to improve its know-how in these areas, especially for test benches. The two firms merged and create SEEB AUTOMATION.
SEEB INDUSTRIE opens an office in Prague to develop direct commercial linkage with Germany, Belgium and Austria. Moreover, it provides sourcing service in Eastern Europe. ERI AUTOMATION company’s assets have been bought which complement SEEB AUTOMATION offers and know-hows.
SEEB DUCHENE MACHINING joined the group with its specific knowledge and its large fleet of machine. With a strong presence on the Aircraft market and to match with its customers’ expectations, the SEEB GROUP aims at achieving the EN9100 qualification.
